Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Babl (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and must notify us of any unauthorized use.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to transmit unlawful, harmful, harassing, or infringing content.
• Clone another person's voice without their consent.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Circumvent minute limits, entitlement checks, or billing controls.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our permission.

5. Voice Cloning Consent

You represent that you own or have permission to use any voice sample you upload, and that you consent to the Service processing that sample to create a cloned voice profile for your own use. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and consents for any voice you clone.

6. Subscriptions & Credits

The Service offers a 10-minute one-time trial, a monthly Pro subscription, and one-time credit packs. Trial minutes are granted once and do not refresh. Pro includes a monthly minute allowance that resets each billing cycle; unused minutes do not roll over. Purchased credit minutes are consumed after plan or trial allowance and do not expire while your account is active.

7. Payments

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider. You authorize recurring charges for subscriptions until you cancel. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

8. Refunds

One-time credit packs and partial subscription periods are generally non-refundable. Contact us at contact@babl.social for billing issues, and we will review them case by case where required by law.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Translation and voice quality may vary and are provided on a best-effort basis.

10. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights to the Service, its branding, and underlying technology. You retain ownership of the content you create and the voice samples you upload. Translated output generated from your input is yours to use, subject to any rights of others in that input.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Translations and synthesized speech may contain errors and should not be relied upon for medical, legal, or safety-critical communication.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Babl is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or create risk or legal exposure for us or others.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, notified in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
